Carol Oxenreiter has been involved with JDRF since 1995, shortly after her daughter Monica was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 13 months old. When her son, John, was diagnosed three years later at age 8, Carol became involved at the national level, serving in a variety of roles for JDRF.
She is currently a member of JDRF’s International Board of Directors, as well as the committees for Research and Development. She also serves as the national chair of Outreach Chapter Programs and co-chairs the Research Information Volunteers. At the local level, Carol has worked on the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes and a JDRF Gala for over 14 years.
Professionally, Carol worked at Cinco Corporation and Bausch & Lomb. She is a graduate of Boston College, and lives in Pittsburgh, PA.
